How It Works
Establishing Initial Contact
Once you’ve applied to an opening, you will be contacted by someone on our recruiting team. They will be your guide and friend throughout the interview and on boarding process. Ask them anything and they will give you an honest answer — hiring a cultural misfit is a lose-lose situation for everyone and we want to avoid it as much as you do.
The Interview Process
Our interview process starts with a phone interview. This call will be conversational and relaxed. Expect it to last about an 20-30 minutes, unless you need more time to ask questions. We want to go over your prior experience, leadership background, and decision making ability.
The Follow Up
After the phone interview, we will call you in for an onsite interview or a follow-up Skype interview if travel is a logistical issue. Once all the interviews are complete, expect to hear from us within 72 hours so you can plan accordingly.
Opportunities to Advance
A 2016 Deloitte Millennial Survey found that the opportunity to progress as leaders was the second most important driver of earning Millennials loyalty next to work-life balance.
Today’s workforce wants the opportunity to take on challenging projects and is looking for the support/training from their employer to help them advance. Companies that are not having these conversations risk losing more than half of their workforce, as 71% of Millennials surveyed said they would leave a job after 2 years if they felt their leadership skills were not being fully developed.
If you are not already making some of these organizational changes to attract and retain top talent, you may end up losing your best employees to companies that can offer the type of culture that today’s workforce desires.
We are EXTREMELY aware of this, especially with the amount of entry/jr level employees that come into our company.
We have the aspirations of being the best company in the US. With that being said, we are on the right track but we have so much growth left to be had.
Each employee in our company has the opportunity to open a new office, run a department, run a division, even become a VP! Yes, we understand that every employee will not get to those levels but the opportunity is absolutely there for the taking. Those who deserve promotions, receive them immediately when ready. We have nothing holding us back and WE ONLY PROMOTE FROM WITHIN!
Perks & Benefits
Wellness Initiatives
Your employees are the most valuable asset to your company, so it pays to invest in their health and well-being. Wellness programs that boost the physical, mental, and emotional health of staff are growing in popularity across the country. However, many companies struggle to get these programs off the ground. We have recently incorporated an hour and forty five minutes for lunch so that each first year employee has an opportunity to be active during the middle of the workday. We have a corporate gym membership with Xsport Fitness, which is conveniently located near each of our offices.
Formal Mentoring Program
On-the-job mentoring is a significant part of our work environment. Each new employee is assigned a Mentor who serves as a point of contact when it comes to learning our business, as well as acclimating you to our industry. This encourages a collaborative culture among all departments. Fortitude’s formal Mentoring program is proud of our efforts. We have increased promotion timeframes since the inception of the Mentor program.
Culture
For us, we define our success by our employees. We live by the motto, “happy employee = happy clients and consultants.” Our focus has always been on acquiring top talent and making sure they are happy and can grow not only within their career and consulting skills, but also in other practical areas throughout the organization.
Fortitude’s culture has now extended beyond our organization. Many of our top clients and other companies have engaged with us to learn more about our best practices and how to apply them to their organizational change strategies. We recognize that we’re operating in the same unpredictable and constantly changing environment that many businesses are today, so we’ve developed a number of strategies and best practices to help organizations of all sizes create a culture where their employees and businesses can thrive.
